If the two of you are matched successfully then you will be put in direct contact with each other (via email and social media) so you can discuss making travel plans together. A one-time $20 deposit is required to be manually matched with this traveller. This deposit is REFUNDABLE should your travel buddy survey results show as incompatible. If you are matched successfully then the $20 deposit will be retained as a donation towards the @URhinoProject to support urgent rhino rescue operations in South Africa. Additionally you will receive a $20 discount off of the trip you book with this traveller so in the end you will get your $20 deposit back :) 

 Why is there a matching fee? 

 To avoid time wasters: If you are willing to pay a $20 deposit it tells the traveler/s you are serious about wanting to make plans with them. The $20 will be deducted from the cost of the trip you decide to book with the traveler/s.

The value of paying the one-time $20 donation to be matched with a traveller includes:

1) Instant updates: You will get instant updates via email from the traveller when he publishes any of his upcoming social activities now and in the coming years. Whether that be an event he is attending, a trip he has booked or even his flight itinerary showing any layover stops he may have. This is useful to keep communication streamlined between you and the traveller with the goal that you can both find a trip or event to enjoy together.

2) No missed opportunities: Life is hectic and the traveller is often too busy to remember where his travel matches are located so with a click of a button he can send you a quick email with any new upcoming travel plans he has. He may be traveling to your city or you may both be traveling at the same time and possibly crossing paths somewhere. Man Ex helps keep you updated about the movements of the traveller who you have matched with so you don't miss any opportunities to connect with each other.
